FAQ

BOOKING

HOW DO I BOOK?

To reserve your spot on a ride we require a booking deposit of £500. This deposit is then held in an independent trust account in the UK until the ride start date. We will issue an invoice for the remainder of the ride price 2 months prior to the tour start date. This must be paid in full within 30 days.

HOW DO I PAY?

Horse Trek Holidays will issue and invoice with the bank details of our independent trust account in the UK (PTS). For UK riders this can be paid as a normal online or in-bank payment. For riders from overseas you will need to pay via an international bank transfer. All invoices are issued in sterling (£). Your money will be held in the trust account until the completion of the ride.

IS MY MONEY SAFE?

Yes, Horse Trek Holidays trades under the UK registered company ‘Ride Expeditions’ who are an affiliated member of Protected Travel Services (PTS) who provide an independent trust account where you money is securely held. This gives you total financial security should our company (or any of our suppliers) become insolvent or fail to deliver your tour as per our terms and conditions.

DO I NEED RIDING EXPERIENCE?

Yes, although you do not need to be John Whitaker we do not accept beginners. You should be confident riding at all paces- there will be lots of cantering but no jumping. We will discuss your riding experience prior to booking and require you to fill out a form outlining your riding history in order for us to match you with a suitable mount. Please do not over estimate your capabilities as this dangerous for both horse and rider.
